Oversimplified Action Scenes in Movies
Movies are a very good form of entertainment and has great effects on stress reduction. Even if we know that scenes in movies are fictitious a part of our subconscious will develop a mentality of possibility of the things that we see in movies. Here are some of the most oversimplified actions in movies.
HACKING SCENES
In movies especially tech or sci-fi hacking scenes are the most over exaggerated. The hacking only takes a few seconds then boom "access granted", without enough knowledge of the system you are exploiting.
actual hacking requires a lot of information before hacking a system as all systems have form s of security.hacking requires lots of steps like information gathering and even planing and it may take days or weeks before entering a system unlike in our movies so hacking is one of the most oversimplified tasks and some might actually believe it to be true.
FIGHTING SCENES
As scientists have said every time we watch a movies we develop a mindset that what we are watching can be to some extent true. Most youngsters usually end up getting hurt after trying things they saw in movies on bigger fellows. In movies, after a neck lock for 3 seconds someone is knocked unconscious.
In reality knocking out a person takes about 20 to 25 seconds and you cannot knockout a normal person with one punch unless in you a super being. Children end up getting beaten after trying on big guys under the assumption that fighting is easy as portrayed in movies
SOFTWARE PROGRAMING
programing in movies is usually done in scenarios like "when someone's life hangs on the line and then the genius writes a very complicated code and save his/her best friend " and everyone is happy. Well in real life complicated and successful programs take a long time before completion. It takes a long time from idea to a working program. Writing of a computer program takes days and debugging and maintenance takes another long time not just a few seconds. After all its not actually a bad thing that these things are made to look simple. the soul purpose of movies is entertainment and producer wanna make sure that they don't end up stressing the audience. Certain aspect of a character or plot is exaggerated so that the audience can easily identify with or understand that aspect, rather than have to dig deep to have to understand it.
These are some of those thing we are not supposed to try without full knowledge but rather assumptions that they are easy otherwise we might end up getting hurt or worse in jail
